Colibri by Ann Cameron

Great book! It's about this girl who is orphaned, and has to spend time with her uncle. His uncle then consulted with fortune tellers that told him Colibri (the girl) would bring him great fortune and luck. When Colibri has finally turned twelve, her uncle has had no luck, and no fortune, so when he turns angry and desperate, everywhere Colibri turns, there is danger facing her.
